Hi guys.

I've taken Corey's template and modified it a little, so that now it has more options. You can check it out at: http://www.xtorials.com/blank-joomla-template/ . It has some new functionality and is little bit more complete.

It would be great if someone could include some standard IE hacks in it. - Ivan

Thanks for this.
I created a section named it "intro". then created a category named it "intro" then created an article named it "intro".
No wysiwyg editor i inserted my flash intro into the article and then created a menu item for the intro. then i assigned your blank template to that menu item only and HEY PRESTO!! My Joomla Intro.

Thanks! - Ruth

I just wanted to say thanks, because I have been sufing the net in search for exactly what you are offering for a long time. I am newbie with Joomla!, but still, I want "piano piano" to learn how to make templates. This site is quite a lovely surprise, and will be visiting a lot. ;) - Jimena

Just installed it locally - and it is just the thing I need!

The only thing I need to sort out is how to add just a few features - like a main menu...

I have just started to have a look through the files... I have used your basic red spheres template before, but it never reached production unfortunately...

As I understand it you have sorted the different parts of code into subfolders - and then it is just to add the parts one need in the index.php of the template?

I have been designing pages in html and css for the most part, and is really frustrated at all the NOISE in most joomla templates. What I want and need is something very basic that I can build on.

I hope it will be possible to use this as a basis and perhaps use the forum as support?

Wiill do some testing now - and hopefully this is the way forward.... - Hans Christian Schrøder
