Hi Joe... you can fix it by modifying the database directly. It's easy if you have phpMyAdmin on your server. Open your Joomla database and access the table jos_templates_menu. Then, browse for the record in the table where client_id=1, and change the value of template to khepri. - Cory Webb

hello, how to change back to the default template of Joomla 1.5. I have installed a new template. but it doesn't work due to "[function.include-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in .." . Then i need to restore the original admin template. The problem is can't access Control Panel due to an error. Is it possible to change via php file.TQ - joe

Nice post and good points Cory. First off, you're right, Andy did a phenomenal job on Khepri. We could never dream of coming up with such a great admin template from the ground, up.
You're also right that AdminPraise has become more of a Component than a Template these days. We'll be releasing a new version this week pushing it a bit further with a Component Quicklaunch and CQI (Custom Quick Icons) integration, which both give users ever more navigation options, which is key. When you have such a popular CMS, you really need variation since everyone's work habits are unique. - Kyle Ledbetter
