Mozilla just recently released Firefox 2.0, somehow they managed to improve upon the best browser available. The most useful new feature (among many) is built-in spell checking. Maybe now, people will stop misspelling words like "definitely" and "separate" in their forum and blog posts. (Yes, those are the correct spellings.) If you haven't already done it, I highly recommend installing the latest version of Firefox (and please please please stop using Internet Explorer). Then maybe all you guys from the UK can stop misspelling "color" by adding the superfluous "u".

Agree, agree, agree - let's get this spelling problem under control. I have long since thought it hurts credibility to have someone saw that "Joomla! is definitly the best CMS in the world." I've been using Google Toolbar spelling for awhile - I am not a good speller, either. (You are also right about those Brits - what's with this whilst thing they do, too? Geesh!)
However, must disagree on avoiding IE completely. I'm going to look at v 7.0. Web developers must be ready for all of our visitors, I am afraid. I don't use IE for browsing but I do try to consider the 40% (yes, it's going down!) of the world who does! Plus, I believe MS is trying to come closer on agreed upon standards. That is all I am after - a bit of teamwork. That, and quit killing off all of your natural predators. Thanks for all you are doing to spread good technical information in bite-sized bits and promote Joomla! DEFINITELY the world's finest CMS! Happy Halloween! ![]() 1 report abuse

@Amy: I agree about IE7. It is a huge improvement over IE6 and previous versions, especially in terms of web standards. But how many years has it taken to come out with this new version? Firefox is continuously improving and giving the end user a consistently great product.
If I weren't a web designer, I would remove IE from my system completely. But unfortunately I have to keep it to make sure the sites I develop work in both browsers. BTW... I just visited your blog. The jack-o-lantern....very disturbing! You should post a warning before subjecting people to that. I like the new template you are using, too. Very clean.2 report abuse

Hi, really like the re-design and completly agree with your comments about Firefox; definitely the best browser available. Being British the only thing I disagree with is our "superfluous "u"". The u is far from superflous it's the correct spelling for English, as opposed to American English. The difference is as a result of the standardisation of Amercian English spelling by Noah Webster which differs from the spellings laid out by Johnson.
Keep up the good work. 3 report abuse
