As you may or may not know, I work with the guys over at JoomlaShack to provide commercial services to the Joomla! community. In our forums, we have a great set of moderators who spend countless hours answering questions and helping people with their Joomla! sites.

One of those great moderators is a guy named TJ Baker. On October 26, 2002, TJ had his first daughter, Azaria Sage. Azaria was born with Aicardi Syndrome. You can read more about Azaria here at TJ's website. Here is a brief excerpt from that page:

After Azaria was born, she began having seizures. Azaria was rushed away from us and taken to NICU where they began laoding her with phenobarbital. We had no idea what was goin on. We were absolutly devastated and confused. We couldn't believe this was happening to us and we felt as if we were in some kind of fog or terrible dream. Azaria was transfered to Children's Hospital where she underwent many tests. It was then that a neurologist came and delivered a devastating blow. He told us our baby was missing the center part of her brain, the Corpus Callosum. More tests were done and after an exam by a pediatric opthomologist, we were told that our baby has Aicardi Syndrome.

This holiday season, please take some time to remember others who are in need, and if you can, please use the donate button on TJ's website to help Azaria.

Really sorry to hear about your daughter's problem, I hope she's doing well. I have also gone through some tough times lately. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that: http://www.azariasage.org/inde...om_content task=view id=1 Itemid=48 is a dead link.

Hi Lars...thank you for your concern. Azaria is actually not my daughter, but TJ Baker's daughter.

Try the link in the article again. The server must have been down when you checked it. I just looked, and the site is back up.

About HowToJoomla

HowToJoomla was started in September 2006 by me, Cory Webb, a long-time Mambo/Joomla user with a desire to give back to the community that has given so much to him.

HowToJoomla is not the best, most comprehensive Joomla tips site out there. That's not the goal. The goal is to share some of the knowledge and experience that I have gained through years of using the world's best content managment system. I hope that you will find this site useful and visit often. As I come across new tips and ideas, I will post them here for all to see.

I hope you enjoy using HowToJoomla and find it very useful.

Please take some time to read the Disclaimer.

Thanks for visiting!

About Me

I am a 29-year-old husband and father of a beautiful baby girl named Lucy. I have a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, an MBA from Baylor University, and over 4 years experience working with the Mambo/Joomla CMS.

On February 1, 2008, I started a web design, development, and consulting company specializing in designing and developing custom Joomla-powered websites. The new company is aptly named Cory Webb Media, LLC. The double meaning is purely unintentional, but with a last name like "Webb" it is difficult to escape the obvious puns. If you are looking for professional assistance with your website, please feel free to contact me to discuss your project.

I also run HowToJoomla, CoryWebb.com (my personal website/blog), and JoomlaForm.com (a site dedicated to promoting good design in the Joomla! community). In my spare time (if there is such a thing), I volunteer with the youth ministry at my church.
