Learning Joomla! 1.5 Extension Development - A Great Book by Joseph LeBlanc

I just recently read a book titled Learning Joomla! 1.5 Extension Development by Joseph LeBlanc. This is a great book for anyone with PHP/MySQL experience wanting to jump into coding extensions (components/modules/plugins) for Joomla! 1.5. In the book, he provides an overview of extension development, then takes you through the process of developing a sample restaurant reviews application. In the process, he introduces you to the Joomla! 1.5 API, and shows you helpful tips on how to code extensions the right way. I strongly recommend this book for anyone wishing to learn how to develop extensions for Joomla! 1.5. About Me

I am a 28-year-old husband and father of a beautiful baby girl named Lucy. I have a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, an MBA from Baylor University, and over 4 years experience working with the Mambo/Joomla CMS.

On February 1, 2008, I started a web design, development, and consulting company specializing in designing and developing custom Joomla-powered websites. The new company is aptly named Cory Webb Media, LLC. The double meaning is purely unintentional, but with a last name like "Webb" it is difficult to escape the obvious puns.
